This is the best tab site I have seen or used. The tabs are correct for the keys of the songs and having the songs broken down into parts is the best way to learn. This has helped my playing and getting me jumped started to a high level of proficiency
|
 | | I was given a guitar for my birthday and had no idea how to play. Thanks to Riff-O-Matic and the illustrations, I can impress my friends with several songs including, stairway to heaven and Hotel California. Thanks Riff-O-Matic for making me a house favorite.. |
|
| Excellent website, never makes guitar
playing boring and there are always new things
to learn at this site. |
|
Riff-O-Matic is an incredible teaching tool for the intermediate (or beginner) guitarist. The video visuals coupled with the audio provides everything a player needs to learn proper technique - from solid timing to proper hand technique. I've seen many other guitar oriented sites, but none offer the range of instructional assistance that Riff-O-Matic provides. You dawgs got it down!!!

| Great site you can learn a lot or you can brush
up on your skills highly recomended. -Chris Sizemore

|

All for the people who put all effort to create this
website. More power!!! Sincerly, Aris

Riff o matic is a great way for players to learn by playing there favourite songs. It can really build a persons timing by playing along with the riff not to mention the performance notes that will teach people techiniques in the riff. Then, they top it off by showing you an accomplished player playing it good. I applaud you riff o matic!

I love it so much. It's because of the Riff-o-Matic
that I did NOT give up when I thought playing
guitar was above my ability. I can learn about
3 songs in one hour and I'm an amateur. No kidding.

Hello my name is Eric Dryden, I have been playing for about 14 years off and on. I have had private lessons in the past and though I have learned alot through those means. However a month into the Riff-o-matic system i have learned just as much if not more then the 14 years give or take of formal training. So please take a few minutes to look it over and I can asure you, you want click out of the site without learning something new. Good luck, and God bless.

| I have been using Riff-O-Matic for about 7 months.
In this time I have gone from my friends and family
leaving the garage when I picked up the guitar to pulling
up a chair and listening. That's a great feeling!
|
|
I really really love Riff-O-Matic. I would be lost without it. I look forward to the emails, and get excited every time I see one in my inbox. The lessons, and all of the content of the emails is absolutely amazing.
I would recommend Riff-O-Matic to any guitarist!
Just thought I'd say a big thanks to Riff-O-Matic.

It's the best i've come across so far.The way the
songs are broken down and the way it's transcribed are
excellent! Keep up the good work, it's unsurpassed.

 | | This is like having a very patient friend who knows all the licks to your favorite songs!
So, you learn the licks at your own rate. Then practice and play along with the RHYTHM AND BASS BACKING TRACK INCLUDED! |

Hi fellas, I was worried some time back prior to joining the Riff-O-Matic family what to do with the extra time due to semi-retirement. This has opened up a whole new ball park for me, I am playing songs from the bands music that I grew up with. Its like magic how the brain and fingers work to-gether and create the sound we all strive for...Thanks friends...keep on rockin'...Mal

|
riff has helped me in a lot of ways patience wise and speed, thanks kenny for all the free riffs you give from time to time it is rare someone takes the time to do these things. i have 80 percent taught myself from the computer and a few helpful friends along the way.one tip from me would be diverse and listen to everything it helps a lot.it is all the same but very different.thanks riff-o-matic, Danny

My guitar teacher had to thank me for teaching him BB King's, "The Thrill is Gone" that I learned on Riff-O-Matic. The video clips are a great resource to see the fingering. The Power Tab scorings let you download an audio-enhanced score & tablature lesson you can rehearse any time without paying to be on line. Your playing will SKY-ROCKET!
|
|
Plain and simple Riff-O-Matic is the best!
They show you the finger placing, the finger movement, and how it should sound. Plus they give you the option to pause nd get the finger placement down before you continue. They explain what tuning to use and not only that they give you awesome background info on the band they're getting the riff from. I pray that this never ends!
|
|
RIff-O-Matic is great! I am a songwriter and it really helps to understand the music behind the lyrics.
Riff-O-Matic allows you to here the riff and shows and explains the fingerings. Some of the greatest songs have the easiest riffs. If I don't learn the riff exactly I usually come up with
something new and original.
Books and videos seem to take so much time and you don't get the variety. With Riff-O-Matic I have played everything from Bach to Hendrix,
and there is a new riff every day.
Definately the best teaching tool for guitar and loads of fun.
Sincerely,
Jay Petty

Dear Guys,
I have recently joined the Riff-O-Matic site. To be very honest the tablature that i have been receivig has been really very professional and thorough. I have tried many other sites where they provide online lessons and tabs etc. But the quality of the content on your site is really awesome, and since i have just started learning guitarts it has been really helpful to me. Bcoz of Riff O Matic i have learnt many lessons which i felt were very difficult but the tutorials on Riff-O- Matic have made the learning process easy and enjoyable.
Keep doing the good work.
My good wishes are with all those associated with Riff-o-matic .
Best Of luck for the future.
With Regards
Gaurav

Riff-O-Matic is truly fantastic. Breaking songs down into digestable pieces is great, but adding the video and sound, showing the styles, expressions and nuances that make a tune playably above average for the less than average player (me)is genious! Thanks a million!
|
|
| This site is FANTASTIC! I really like the video
that is supplied with the tablature. I makes it
much easier for a novice like myself to learn
the riffs. My playing has increased 10 fold since
using this site. Great job, I visit everyday!

I have used Riff-O-Matic for the last month
or so and my time has not been wasted, they explain
everythig and make it so simple to understand.
You can also hear what your suppose to be playing
instead of guessing the timing. Is great for any
level of guitar player from beginer to pro. I
recomend this product to everyone. - Charlie Wallace

Having played guitar for over 30 years now, the enjoyment of playing has never changed, the only improvement needed was expanding, then along comes Riff-O-Matic, to jump from strumming and singing to adding those riffs and licks is amazing, and by my own admission I am not a natural muso, but Riff-O-Matic took me that step closer, tips for any newcomers! THIS IS THE BEST and as early as possible JOIN OR FORM A BAND, both will improve you immensly. Cheers - James

Riff-o-matic is a great resource for self-teaching
guitar players. The prerecored music and backing
tracks along with the printed music makes it a
breeze to learn some otherwise tricky songs. -

After playing pretty seriously and for several
local bands in the late fifties and early sixties,
for many reasons, which I will not go into,
I gave up the guitar at that time. About a year
ago I decided that I would try to re-enter the
music world. I quickly found that there was
a world of difference in the music environment
today as compared to the simple music I remembered,
but somehow I discovered Riff-o-matic and it
was just amazing how just by following the step
by step instructions provided, I was able to
understand and pick up on the new techniques
and styles of todays music. Riff-0-Matic certainly
helped me rediscover the pleasures and sense
of acomplishment in being a guitar player once
again. -Keith Bennett Finch

Riff-O-Matic is hands down the best guitar site
on the web. A new song every day with playing and
techniques, videos and complete tab transcriptions.
Riff-O-Matic has made me a better player and opened
my eyes to different genres of music. It's like Christmas
365 days a year for the guitar player.

I have been using riff-o-matic for the past 6 months...i think its a great way to quickly learn new material...and the fact that its not always the same style of music is even better because it broadens your playing ability...and as a result i have told all of my students to sign up for riff-o-matic

I am not very good at guitar at all. Having
been teaching myself for a few years just as a
hobby at 60 years old. I find I have just enough
time to work with the riffs I like (I don't like
all, but there are archives from which to choose)
Most are broken down into parts and also have
video so you can get some idea of how to play
the parts. I have found the site to be helpful
and most important... fun to work with. - John

Riff-o-matic is the best. I look forward every day for the new riffs. My son is learning the guitar and these riffs really make it interesting for him. He gets tired of scales, but loves the riffs.

I used to (30 yrs ago) play quit a bit. I, like
so many others have put all my time into making
a living for my family. Now that they are adults
I find myself with the time to pursue the guitar
again. "riff-o-matic" has made the return much
faster and I am now enjoying the guitar more than
ever. Thanks for all the work and time you put
into riff-o-matic. It is a great help. - Tony

I really wasn't sure which one of your sites I should
have joined. After emailing you relative to my experience
level and which areas I'd like to improve in, you suggested
riff-o-matic. I've been strumming for YEARS and most
non-guitarists think I play extremely well but I know
that there is much about theory, scales, alternative
chords and soloing that I know little about. Your site
has finally helped move to the next level. Guitarists
who don't read music or really don't have any background
in music theory often get stuck in a rut; you get to
a certain level of playing and simply can't get beyond
it. I've been in that rut for years, still enjoying
guitar as my 'out' but just kept playing the same old
stuff. Your site has been instrumental (pardon the pun!)
in helping me finally reach a new level of playing.
I love the mini clips/videos and the sound bits, broken
down. At first I would watch them and think that I'd
NEVER be able to 'get' this stuff. I soon learned that
all it takes is persistence. Keep trying to learn and...voila...you
learn! Amazing. Kenny, to you, I say Thanks for helping
me reach levels of playing that I truly never thought
I'd attain. I have a LONG way to go but at least I know
have a phenomenal resource: riff-o-matic!! - David

"Wow,
what a great site! I just signed up today, and I have never
seen so much in one site! I can't believe how you've laid
this site out. You have answered questions I have always
had. I'm a pretty good student, but like to hear how things
should sound and your method of putting the sounds on the
net is great! Who needs a personal instructor with this
site!" -- R. Wayne Fritzsche
"I
don't have any suggestions or complaints for this site because
you guys are just awesome! This is the only site that I've
found that tells you as well as lets you listen to what
you're playing, its ingenious."--Tommy Russell.
"I
just wanted to let you know how much i enjoy the new riff
a day. The videos really do make it easier...just seeing
someone actually playing right, sort of takes the mystery
out...im still in awe every time i watch, you just make
it look so easy. You inspire me. I can't tell you how many
tabs i have downloaded and still don't get it but with the
videos ...I actually get it." --Lea Shappell
"WOW!
You sure have made it super easy to play some great stuff!
Showing me what fingers to use has made a tremendous difference
in my playing. I`am having a great time ........I can actual
play songs at last!! Thanks!" -Danny Cluck
"I
love Riff-O-Matic! It is the perfect complement to learning
theory. It shows you how to use these techniques in actual
music. It's really helped my development as a guitarist,
and as a songwriter. Keep up the good work!" -Greg
McNeish
"I
thought it was a great Idea to learning a song, breaking
it up in chunks, and relating them to the theory. I am enjoying
working through "The Wind Cries Mary", and there is just
enough theory in there to enhance, but not detract from
the song itself. It's great." -Jack Mathers
