Stone Temple Pilots might have seemed like an overnight success to
some, but the fact is they'd been slogging it out in Southern California
clubs for several years before they "made it."
Influenced by '70s rock bands like Kiss, Aerosmith and Led
Zeppelin, Stone Temple Pilots combined the heavy guitar-based
sound of arena rock bands with the flippant attitude of punk.
The result: Core, their 1992 release that went triple platinum
and produced the ubiquitous hit "Plush."
It's an easy riff to play once you get the fingerings down:
